Early 19th century English Worcester porcelain vase and cover, featuring a painted  view and gilt decoration, circa 1815–1820.

Condition,  good condition

An English porcelain pot pourri vase with inner and outer cover, dating to circa 1815–1820. The dark blue ground is painted with a named Irish view of Downhill House and Mussenden Temple in County Derry, complemented by a smaller rectangular panel of a gilt star surrounded by scrolling gilt foliage and grapes.

The square pedestal base is titled in iron red, ‘Down Hill, Derry, Ireland, Sir H.H.A. Bruce Bart’. Possibly produced by Flight, Barr & Barr, this vase combines decorative appeal with historical interest.
